Firing at Delhi’s Tis Hazari Court after argument among lawyers

 An incident of firing took place on Wednesday at Tis Hazari Court premises in Delhi after an argument between two lawyers over some issue.

The police have reached the spot, officials said. A video from the spot shows a lawyer raising a gun and firing as loud screams can be heard in the background.

According to reports two different groups of lawyers allegedly fired shots in the air. No casualties or injuries were reported yet from the spot.

Bar Council of Delhi Chairman KK Manan condemned the shooting at the Tis Hazari Court premises and said that a detailed inquiry into the matter will be undertaken.

“It will be inquired if the weapons were licensed or not. Even if the weapons were licensed, no lawyer or anyone else can use them like this inside or around court premises,” he said.
